PTP Director Alison Fairbrother Nominated for Food Journalism Award

Public Trust Project director Alison Fairbrother is a finalist, with co-author Randy Fertel, for a Bert Greene award for their July 2011 article in Gilt Taste magazine, “The Most Important Fish in the Sea,” about the decline of the keystone forage fish species Atlantic menhaden. Fairbrother and Fertel are nominated, along with veteran journalists Barry Estabrook and John McQuaid, in the category “Culinary Writing that Makes a Difference.”
