Former Delaware Natural Resources Secretary John Hughes has written an op-ed in the Delaware News-Journal urging the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) to take urgent action to save the Atlantic menhaden stock from industrial overfishing.
The op-ed was picked up by the Associated Press, and news of Hughes’ position ran in newspapers across the country, including the San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, Connecticut Post, and many others. Read the recap here.
